If you’re on my email list (you can join here!), you know I set some lofty goals for 2018. Now that we are done with Q1, I thought it would be fun to share an update and see how I’m progressing with my goals.
January Blogging Income Report 2018
Hi everyone! Welcome to my January 2018 blogging income report! If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll notice I used to share these every single month, and then suddenly stopped for the past six months or so. The reason I stopped was simply because my income – as you’ll see below – tends to stay the same month after month. I felt inclined to share this month’s income report to show you that it really is possible to make money blogging even if you don’t have super high traffic and you don’t post often.
How To Make Money This Holiday Season
This time of year is my favorite. I don’t want to miss out on Pumpkin Spice Lattes and fall festivals because I’m on a budget. Instead, I want to enjoy everything that encompasses the holiday season. And yes, that means spending some money. Here is how to make extra money this holiday season.
Instead of providing the normal “How to save money this Christmas”-style post, I wanted to do something different. I want to show you how you can make money this holiday season so you have a bit more wiggle room in your budget.
How to Create an eBook that Sells
Have an idea for an eBook and looking to make some passive income? Here’s how to create an eBook the easy way, market it effectively and make money.
I wrote my first eBook early last year and still make sales every single week. It’s a short, 34-page guide on blogging for beginners. It only sells for $12, but each sale adds up and it’s a nice form of passive income.
While I’m by no means an expert on creating eBooks, I do know the steps to create one. And, it’s really a lot easier than it seems. If you have an idea for an eBook but feel overwhelmed by the process, keep reading as I’m here to simplify this for you.
June Income Report: How My Online Income Has Evolved
Hi everyone!
Welcome to this month’s online income report, where I share exactly how much money I’m making online and how I’m doing it. This month, I’m not only sharing my June income report, but I’m also sharing a look back at my online income over the years. Hopefully, this will encourage you in your own blogging journey!
Blogging is not a way to make money fast or immediately, but it’s definitely a way to create a passive form of income for yourself after many years of work. Right now, my blog is sort of in “maintenance mode” but I’m still making $3,000+ per month. What is maintenance mode, you ask? Well, that’s where I’m still sharing posts on social media, sending out 2-3 newsletters per month (sign up here!), and writing 2-3 blog posts per month. So yes, I’m still working, and my income isn’t completely passive. But to be making $3K a month for maybe 10 hours of work total is a huge win in my book!
Once my kids go back to school in September (granted, I’ll still have my baby with me!), I plan on entering a more “active” stage with my blog. Active blogging (for me) is posting at least once a week, having specific strategies and goals in mind each month, creating new products, promoting and updating old products, joining more affiliate programs, and more. Hopefully, I’ll see my income increase even more by doing these things!
If you are on the fence about starting a blog, I highly encourage you to just go for it! Don’t overthink it or think you’re too busy to build a successful blog. If you can commit to doing one blogging-related task every single day (even if it’s an easy, three-minute task), you will see results over time.

May Blog Income Report
Welcome to this month’s blogging income report, where I share exactly how much money I made online and how I did it!
I’ve been blogging for 2 1/2 years now. In March, I quit my full-time job because my blog income replaced my salary. Now, I spend my days at home with my three little girls and I blog when I have time. The really cool thing about blogging is once you put in the work (in the first year or so), a lot of the income becomes relatively passive. In May, I didn’t do too much on the blog front, but you’ll see my income was still pretty high (not crazy high; while I wish I was making five-figures a month, I’m not, haha!).
Blogging really is the only job that you can put in minimal hours and still make thousands of dollars per month. Passive income is a glorious thing, my friends.
If you’re wanting to start a blog, I encourage you to just go for it. My blog has evolved over the years and it’s not at all how I envisioned it to be when I first started. You don’t have to have it all figured out right now, just get started!! Trust me, the brilliant ideas and the income will come 🙂

April Blogging Income Report
Welcome to April’s blogging income report!
April was my highest month yet and I’m so excited to share this report with you all. For those of you who don’t know, I actually quit my job last month to focus more on my blog and, more importantly, to be a stay-at-home mom to my three little girls.
I’ve found that while I don’t necessarily devote more time to the blog, my time is not being wasted. My home is cleaner and more organized, I’ve been cooking more, and every single afternoon I am a hands-on mom to my little ones. It’s a great feeling!!
March Blogging Income Report: My First Month Blogging Full-Time
Welcome to March’s blogging income report! I started my blog in September of 2014 and have shared every single income report since then. You can see them all here!
For the first year, most of my income came from freelance writing. Slowly but surely, though, my blog income started increasing and I was able to drop nearly all of my freelance work. I’m currently earning $2,500+ per month strictly from my blog and don’t see it slowing down any time soon!
Now, this did not happen overnight. I thought about starting a blog and finally about one month later took the plunge. I then worked on one thing every single evening after my kids were in bed. Sometimes I’d spend five minutes on it, sometimes five hours. But every night, I did something.
You can access my free guide to starting a blog here >>
If you’re thinking of starting a blog but aren’t quite sure what your niche would be, I recommend just using your own name as your domain name. With Bluehost, you’ll get your domain name for free! By using your name, YOU are your brand and you can change your blog as you please. You aren’t trapped in a niche because you chose “Sarahscookingblog.com” or something like that 🙂

February Blogging Income Report: What to Do When Income Dips
Welcome to this month’s blogging income report, where I share how much money I’m earning online through my blog and freelance writing.
I started blogging 2 1/2 years ago. Back then, all of my income came from freelancing. Now, I’m happy to say that all of my income comes from blogging! It’s taken a while to build up, but it was absolutely worth it now that I have a relatively passive stream of income coming in each month.
And – BIG NEWS – I was able to quit my job to focus more on my blog! I also plan on spending a lot more time with my daughters. But honestly, I was at a crossroads with my blog. Continue doing minimal work each month, or quit my job and see if I can take it to the next level. I decided on the latter, because, you only live once right? Here goes nothing 🙂
January Blogging Income Report
Hi everyone!
Welcome to this month’s blogging income report, where I share exactly how much money I’m making blogging and how I’m making it.
January was a great month and I think I’m going to crush my 2017 blogging goals.
If you’re new here, I’ve been sharing monthly income reports since I started blogging. My reports include both blogging income and freelancing income; but as of roughly one year ago, I decided to quit freelancing and focus more on blogging. Every once in a while a freelance opportunity pops up, and of course for the right price I will take it.
