Thinking of starting a blog or do you already have one but aren’t sure where to take it? Here are blogging FAQs I get asked most frequently!
January Blogging Income Report
Hi everyone!
Welcome to this month’s blogging income report, where I share exactly how much money I’m making blogging and how I’m making it.
January was a great month and I think I’m going to crush my 2017 blogging goals.
If you’re new here, I’ve been sharing monthly income reports since I started blogging. My reports include both blogging income and freelancing income; but as of roughly one year ago, I decided to quit freelancing and focus more on blogging. Every once in a while a freelance opportunity pops up, and of course for the right price I will take it.
How to Make Money as a Web Hosting Affiliate
This past year, I’ve been steadily working at increasing my affiliate sales. Specially, my Bluehost affiliate sales.
And…my tactics have been working, big time. As my long-time readers know, I do not spend a ton of time blogging. I have a full-time job, two little girls and another one on the way, and I enjoy spending my nights and weekends with my husband and kids. Yes, eventually I would love to make a full-time income from my blog, but for right now I am happy as can be. I’m making really good money for the amount of time I’m putting in.
I know for a fact that you can do the same, and I want to help. I feel like a lot of times bloggers share their income reports and while awesome, they seem unattainable for the average person. My income reports are very realistic and I truly believe anyone can make money at blogging without putting in full-time hours. Yes, it takes time!!! My blog didn’t start producing a consistent income for about a year or so, but after that it’s been a steady uphill climb; and again – with a minimal amount of work! Side money at it’s best 🙂
So, two things to discuss today…
December Blogging Income Report: How I Made $17,000+ in 2016

- Save more money each month (this is reason #1)
- Pay extra toward our mortgage (this is our only debt as my online income was able to pay off our SUV last year)
- Take family vacations more often
- Replace my full-time income (2017 end-of-year goal) <-this has been MET. I quit my job in March!!
- Replace my husband’s full-time income (long-term goal)
Now, let’s get started. Below is my ultimate guide to make money online in 2018!

How to Be a Stay-at-Home Mom without Changing Your Lifestyle
I think it’s safe to say that working moms would enjoy the possibility of being a stay-at-home mom if it meant keeping their lifestyle the same. I personally am one of those crazy people who actually enjoys my full-time job, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t even consider what it would be like to stay home.
Here’s the thing, though. I think the majority of us working moms would miss having “something for ourselves.” We’d miss contributing to the family financially, and we’d definitely miss socializing with other adults (big one for me!!). If this is exactly how you feel, keep reading.
The Fastest and Easiest Way to Break Into Freelance Writing
Freelance writing – to me – is one of the best jobs out there. Many of my friends are making six figures a year as freelance writers. They’ve quit their full-time jobs, their husbands have possibly quit their full-time jobs, and they’re able to work on their own terms and set their own schedule. Need to take kids to the doctor? Have a sick baby? Need to help with homework and cook dinner? Done, done and done; all without having to ask your boss for PTO.
I have been freelance writing for over four years, though I’ll admit I don’t do a ton of it anymore. In fact, the only jobs I take on now are ones that pay $300+ per article. While I do get a few that come my way, the income isn’t consistent. Reason being is I do have a full-time job that I enjoy and I just had my third little baby girl 🙂 I’m also focusing more on increasing my blogging income for the time being.
You can read my latest income report where I show you how I made over $1,700 blogging here! >>
However, that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to get freelance jobs 🙂 Back in the day, I was making a consistent $2,000-$3,000/month with two little toddlers at home. I would estimate I worked about 15 hours per week to make that. Here, I’m sharing the fastest and easiest way to break into freelance writing.
